More about ghosts...

This is a continuation (if you want to call it that) of Danielle's post about believing in ghosts.

My mother was in the military (AF), and was stationed in Germany for 3 years. We lived off base in the economy (that's a German town, but they called it economy if you didn't live on the base). While we were there, a distant cousin of ours, from Virgin Islands came to live with us. She was so fun to me, and I always looked up to her (girl crush, Goddess ;)... we used to sit around all the time and listen to her stories about when she was growing up, etc. So one day, we're in her room, and I see a Ouija board. So, I ask, why do you have this? And she says, ever so solemnly, oh, I practice voodoo. Now, my mother is from Jamaica, so I know a little about voodoo, not that my mom practices, but you know. From that point on, I can say that I was LITERALLY scared shitless. She continues to explain to me that she's doesn't do anything evil (umm, OK, I thought that voodoo was EVIL)... my thoughts, oh shit, I better not mess with this lady.. LOL!

Anywho, one night, we're in her room. Just me and her. There's no one else in the house, it was a cold night out, so no windows were open. The door to her room was closed, ALL THE WAY. The door to her room wasn't placed on the hinges correctly, so the door really sat on the rug, and had to be pushed VERY hard to open it, and it would scrape across the rug as it was opening. So, we're sitting there talking, and what do you know, the door opens, ALL THE WAY OPEN!!! I'm sitting there looking like a pale ghost who just shit her pants... she keeps talking like she didn't see anything. I say, L, didn't you just see that door open? She says oh, yeah, that was my grandfather. Now she told me a story about her grandfather passing away in her arms, and how she buried this stuffed animal with him, and then one day she gets up and the stuffed animal is back in her room on her bed. I didn't believe the story at first, but after that, I was somewhat prone to believe.

Another incident happened when I was by myself, in my room, laying in the bed trying to go to sleep. I was breathing REALLY hard, for some odd reason, like I just ran up some stairs. I take a deep breath to try to calm myself down, and I swear, on my cousin Warren (RIP), right in my ear, my right ear, I hear someone take a deep breath just like I did. I have NEVER moved so fast in all my life. I jumped up, turned on the light, and looked around the room. Of course, to no avail, no one was there. I couldn't say that it was something that came through the window or the door in my room, because the shutters were down (the windows of the houses in Germany are not like the windows here). Needless to say, I slept with my mom that night, and never slept by myself after that.

Another incident... yes D, I have a lot of incidents too. I was laying in the room with my cousin, in the dark, just talking. She's telling me more stories about her childhood, and then all of a sudden, her voice changes... now, she's talking about what, I don't know? And, she sounds like James Earl Jones. I'm saying to her L--, L--, what's wrong? She says, you see them, you see them? They're coming to protect us; I look up, and see all these black and white figures coming into the room. One of the scariest things I have ever seen in my life! And in a matter of a minute, she goes back to the conversation we were having like nothing ever happened.

So, D, YES, I believe in ghosts, the supernatural, demons, WHATEVER you want to call them. I still talk to our cousin once in a while; the lady is a GENIUS, literally; but she's also a little spooky! I love her to death, though.

I'm baaaaaaccccckkkkkk....

Hello all. I know it's been a while since I've posted (must be, because I see that some of you have moved me around on your links list), but I have good excuses. (Note the plural word). So let me fill you in on the details.

I'm up for a promotion at my job, so I've been cracking down trying to get and STAY caught up on my work. I'm one person working with five different systems, so I'm pulled in every which direction I can possibly be pulled. Reading everyone's blogs is SO interesting to me, that if I did it everyday, I wouldn't be able to get ANY work done, so I TRY (my damnedest) not to read blogs on company time. But I promise from here on out, that I will read, at least twice a week, everyone's blog. :)

Also, I'm going through a rough period in my life right now, personally, and it's taking a toll on me. I'm trying my hardest to come up out of this rut, but I know that time will heal everything, and so I have to give it time. So, I just want all of you, who read my blog, to know that I "blove" (stolen from Jomama) very much, and I'm not going anywhere, even though I may disappear for a little while.

Now on to a more uplifting story (it made me laugh, anyway), I have to tell ya'll about how clumsy I am. Wednesday, I'm walking in the atrium to go take a cig break. I'm looking up at a new mail guy walking on the third floor, thinking to myself, DAMN! He's cute. I'm also thinking to myself, hmmm, glad I wore this dress today with these shoes, cuz I KNOW I look good... now, as Foxy would say, here lies the kaka.... don't you know both my heels slide out my shoes and I go tumbling down to the ground. LOL! Luckily, I put my hands down to catch my fall, so I wasn't COMPLETELY laid out on the floor, but that was embarrassing enough... ONLY me, I swear! I couldn't do anything but laugh, and hope that I wouldn't have to see him ANYTIME soon. Sure enough, the one day I go to the cafe within the past two weeks, who do I see walking in as I'm walking out? The cute mail guy! I just put my head down, and walked away really fast. LOL!! I thought you would find that amusing.

I'm going away for the weekend, so I hope that everyone has a lovely Holiday weekend. Oh yeah, and to my boy Foxy, have a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL birthday. Happy Birthday Son! Smooches!

Until we meet again.....

Ultimate ASS... I mean... Ice breaker

Hello everyone... did you miss me? Awwww, I missed you too. Well, My week has been pretty busy, but I HAD to tell you about this...

Monday evening, my current Team Leader took us bowling, so it's me, my two co-workers, our team leader and our Director. Everybody gets their ugly colored shoes, and gets their balls. I hate those bowling balls, their either just right, and the finger holes are too small, or too damn heavy, and the finger holes just right (for me anyway). One of my co-workers is up first, show off (he was the best of us there, so of course he tried to rub it in...) I'm up next... I grab my ball... do my little fake aim (you know, when your standing at the edge, with the ball up in front of your face, trying to figure out where down the aisle you want to try and aim the ball)... I start to walk up, swing the ball, and what do you know the SAME time I TRY to let go of the ball, my feet let go of me... yep, I stepped across the line and sho 'nough, I slip and fall RIGHT on my ASS!!!!! It was actually VERY funny... even though I was DEEPLY embarrassed, as there were semi-professional bowlers in the lane next to us (who were probably thinking, stupid dumb ass girl, she needs to sit down somewhere). But the past three days haven't been. I swear I feel like I've torn a ligament or something, cuz it hurts for me to walk, to bend, to lay on.. It's ridiculous. Today, it feels better though. So YES, Monday, I was the ultimate ASS(ice) breaker, because after that, everyone either slipped, or tripped, or SOMETHING! They didn't fall like me, but we had a good laugh at the whole game!

The RIGHT man.....

This is dedicated to Danielle....

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of HOT,
Who calls you back when you hang up on him,
Who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.

Wait for the guy who kisses your nose and forehead,
Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats,
Who holds your hand in front of his friends.

Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you.

Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, "...that's her."

Eventful weekend

Well, I can say that I had a pretty eventful weekend.

Friday: My car decides it wants to start acting up AGAIN, and find out that I need a battery and an alternator. I got the battery, and am getting the alternator tomorrow. Warranties are a GREAT thing. I then went to work at my part-time job (which aggravates the MESS out of me), but I need the money right now, so what do you do. I got home at about 2:30 a.m. and went to sleep.

Saturday: Got up at 6:00 a.m., to get ready for the wake and service. It was rough, but we made it through it. Unfortunately, during times like this, is when you realize how important family is. Not only family, but relationships in general. You never know when someone you love is going to be gone, so to all my blogger friends, I love you. Not trying to get sentmental, but it's true. My cousins' father didn't speak to him AT ALL for the past three years, and because he feels so guilty about that, he made an ASS of himself at the funeral. So, I'm taking that as a lesson.

Sunday: Didn't do too much. Got caught up on my sleep. Went out to eat with my mom, and then relaxed and went to bed.

So as you can see, I had an eventful weekend. There was a LOT more to my day on Saturday, but too much to write. I'm sure you all can use your imagination:)

Stupid men......

So, today I get a call from this guy... WHHHHHHYYYYYYYY??? I met this guy probably 5 years ago, at a club. he asked me to dance, so I danced. He asks my number, and I acted like I didn't hear him... all night he tried to stay by my side... I don't like that, if I dance with you once, doesn't mean that I want to be up under you the rest of the night, LOSER!!!!

Anyway, he asks again, so I say it real fast, and he didn't have a pen or anything, so I figured he would forget the number... sure enough about 3 days later, he calls... WHY? Why, why why why WHY!!!!!!!! I quickly tell him that I can't talk right now, and hang up.... He calls again, about two days later, and I say the same thing. The next time he called, I finally told him that I was involved with someone (even though I wasn't). I didn't hear from him again after that. So, why is he calling me now?

When I saw the number, I said to myself, hmmm, this # looks familiar, so like a nosy ass, I call it back. He didn't answer, but I didn't leave a message, either. He calls back and this is how the conversation goes:

Me:Hello
He: Hello
Me: Who is this?
He: Your future husband...
Me: That's odd, because I don't have one of those.
He: Never say never
Me: OK, who is this, because I'm about to hang up on you
He: It's (for blogging sake, we'll call him "Wannabe Old Ass Stripper" or WOAS for short. He looked like one of those "older" guys, who thinks they are fly and gives themselves some stupid ass name that a stripper would have *rolls eyes*)....
Me: *rolls eyes and sighs REALLY hard*oh....
He: How are you?
Me: I'm fine, but busy
He: Well call me back....
Me: *click*

Now normally, I'm not that rude to people, but COME ON STUPID!!!!! I have NEVER called you, and I haven't spoken to you in how many years? Why the FUCK are you calling me... even if I did give you my number, take the fucking hint. I told you I was seeing someone, and you stopped calling... Did you think I wasn't seeing anyone anymore, so you decided to see if you could take me out now, ummmmm, NO! If I wanted you to take me out, I would've called your dumb ass.

As Spexial would say, 54892004778163594334857 middle fingers to you, WOAS!!!!!!! AND STOP FUCKING CALLING ME!

Stupid teenagers.....

Ok, so I was just reading blogaholics post about when she got drunk as a teenager... VERY FUNNY, blogaholic. That reminded me of a story when I was a teenager...

I was probably 13 going on 14. I always looked old for my age, so I always attracted older guys. I was in Colorado Springs at the time, which was a BIG military town, and I met thie FINE Puerto Rican poppy...... hoooooooo BOY! What I could do with him now..... He was only 19, but for me, that was OLD... anyway, I was a virgin at the time, so I was DEFINITELY not giving it up, so he stopped talking to me... oh well, life goes on... So a few months pass and I see him at a teen club. We're dancing and chilling, he's telling me how good I look, and I'm thinking about how good he looks, so after the club, he says him and his boys are going to rent a hotel room, and he wants to know if me and my girl wanted to come and chill with them... I'm like OK, what the hell...... One problem though, my mom was coming to pick us up, and take us home.... I lived literally five minutes walking distance from the club, but it was like 2:00 in the morning, so she wasn't trying to have us walking home. So, my mom's out in the parking lot, and I run over to the car and say, mom I'll be right back..... Why did I go hop in the car with the dude and leave.... why my mom sat in the parking lot for over 2 hours..... why everyone left, including the employees at the club, and she still sitting there? Why was I so DAMN stupid, to even try some bullshit like that?

We ended up not going to the hotel, because his friend got in an argument with his grilfriend. So, he took me and my girlfriend home. I'm sitting outside my house like, OMG!!! My mom is going to KILL me.... what in the hell was I thinking? I must be a damn fool... I go in the house, and my dad's sitting at the table... he starts smiling..... I wanted to smile, but knew that if I did, I was going to get the worst ass whooping of my life, so I calmly sit at the table, and look down and start playing with my hands... He says to me, that was some pretty slick shit you did, even I wouldn't have thought to try something like that. What were you thinking, what was going through your head? I wanted to bust out laughing, but all I could say was, I don't know.... duh?!?!?!? LMAO!!!

Anyway, needless to say, I got grounded until the snow off of Pikes Peak melted (for those of you who may not know, Pikes Peak is a mountain in Colorado, visible from alot of places, but mainly visible from Colorado Springs... the snow hardly EVER melted off the damn peak!) I had to go upstairs and apologize to my mother, and she didn't speak to me for like a week, only if necessary. Isn't that a shame? LOL!!!! Stupid things we do as stupid teenagers.......

Nothing much....

Hello fellow bloggers.... I know I haven't written much lately, but there's so much to write, but nothing at all to write.... understand? I know, I know... you're saying this chick is crazy... but trust me, I know what I mean! LOL!

Anyway, not much has been happeneing, trying to get over the fact that my cousin passed. I know it won't go away anytime soon, but it's still such a shock. Besides the fact that I had to break up with the loser...oops, did I say that? I should have said LOSER!!! Anyway, you know all these feelings and emotions I have in me, it's a wonder I haven't driven off a cliff somewhere... No seriously, I've been doing OK.. just attending my everyday business, trying to have life go on as usual, for the most part.

I went to my aunt's house on Saturday...she's doing OK, considering. We wrote the eulogy, and just sat around talking to her, keeping her company. My heart hurts so bad for her. *Sigh*

The wake/funeral is on Saturday. My mom wants me to read the poem that I wrote on my last post... not sure if I can. I would love to, but you know how that goes. So, anyway, that's what's been going on with me. How are my fellow bloggers?
