Ms Perdie's Dirty Details...

I wish.....

Hello blogland. How do you do? Everything over is OK, for now. I do have some good news though, I GOT A NEW JOB!!!! Yes, yes, msperdie is moving on to bigger and better (more money anyway) things. I had my first interview last week Monday, my 2nd interview Friday afternoon and received my offer Friday evening. I even got my offer letter Fed Ex’d to me on Saturday morning. Ain’t that some ish? It’s a good opportunity for me, and I can’t wait. It’s with the same company, same building, just different floor, different department. Did I mention it’s more money? Yeah, that’s what it’s all about anyway, right? LOL!!!

So, I didn’t do much this weekend, well yes I did, but I don’t have any real good stories to tell. My sister came up from VA on Friday, and we went to the city Friday night with Foxy. I FINALLY ate at the Pink Teacup. VERY good food, and not expensive. I was impressed. Next time Foxy, you know where we are going, Amie Roos (however you spell it) :)

Saturday, got my hair done in the morning, and then went to the city AGAIN. This time we met our cousin and went to the wax museum and then to Chevy’s to eat. We had a nice time. When I got back to Jersey, I went to my bar, and watched the last round of the fight (Hopkins). That’s some BS. From what I hear, it really should have been a draw. I’m not sure, since I didn’t see the whole thing, but I’m upset, because Hopkins is my boy! I saw my ex at the bar, and it was good to see him, but at the same time very, VERY bad. I always get real emotional after I see him, and all types of thoughts run through my head. OK enough of that.

Sunday, my sister left :( I wish she lived closer to me. You would never think that we would be as close as we are, because as a child, I couldn’t stand her. But that’s my dawg now. Love ya, Chelle! After I dropped her off at the train station, I went to the city once AGAIN! Foxy’s niece had a birthday party, so me and my daughter went there to support. And yes, Foxy, we had fun!

On a different note, seeing my ex, had me thinking about what I want in a man, and what I’m willing to give in return. I don’t think that I ask for too much, and I think that I give a whole lot more than most chicks will (as some of you may already know, if you've been reading my blog from day one. My very first post, which isn't up anymore, explained the extent of my giving) :)…. So, let me know what you think…

A gentleman – I need a man who will open the doors for me, someone who will let me order my food first, or even order for me. Just don’t order yours first, and then say, go ahead and order. I HATE THAT! When we are walking together, it’s not necessary to hold my hand, but you can put your arm around my waste, or even place your hand on my back… it’s not necessary, but that’s something I like J

An open person (with me) – Please, please, PLEASE! If we are talking about being together, and trying to build something, please do not be secretive with me. Please include me in your life. Not every aspect, but most of them. Don’t have me meet your mother or father by chance. Don’t tell me the day before you’re going out of town for the weekend that you’re leaving, especially if you’ve known since last week. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I need to know everything, but come on now. It’s just something’s that should be automatic…

Secure with themselves – I am a very independent woman; have always been that way. Most of the time, I attract men who make less money than me, have less than me (meaning car, job, apartment, etc.). I can deal with a man having less than me, as long as they can deal with a woman having more than them. It’s not about what we have separately, it’s about what we can build together, right?

Versatile – I like a man that has that little bit of “thug” in them. But he also needs to be able to “clean up” nicely. He needs to know how to act wherever he is.

Someone who doesn’t lie – I feel that there is no reason for anyone to lie. Although everyone does it, but you get a lot farther (most of the time) when you “keep it real”.

Now, that is just a few things that I’m looking for in a man. Here the main thing I will do for my man (only putting one, because, well I just feel like it).

I will be your ride or die chick – What I mean by this is that I will support you in most aspects of your life (as long as there is no illegal activity); if you loose your job, I got you until you get back on your feet; if you want to try new things (I think you know what I mean) I GOT YOU!!!!, etc…. LOL!

Well, I have to go get to work now. I’ll post (I promise) a little later on in the week. Have a good day everyone! And feel free to comment on my remarks ;)
